Is there a big difference between Atmos and dtsma. Is it still early days as far as making the upgrade to the new receivers and is it worth it considering an upgrade as I have the Avpa1hd pre/pro and a dedicated room which already sounds great.

IMO, absolutely, sound and object movement is more discrete, plus depending on the mix, Atmos can give you a real sense of atmosphere that just hasn't been possible before.
I'm running all height speakers in the same exact locations as I was prior to Atmos (prior to Atmos, PLIIz w/ heights and simply duplicating my Surround signals to the height speakers) and 7.1.4 Atmos is far better than my old setup.

Ok thanks for that info.I was thinking of adding a couple of height speakers to my setup but thought I would ask the question weather there is a night and day difference. Sounds like there is.
