Could I hook up Bose 901 Series VI Speakers directly to a PA amplifier (500W--QSC RMX 2450)?

No, You must connect Bose 901 equalizer to amp and speaker to equalizer.

Yes and no. You can hook up the speakers to the (power) amp's speaker output.

BUT...

You must connect the 901's equalizer before that power amplifier and after the preamp/mixer.

The Bose equalizer requires tape-in and tape-out jacks but my mixer (Yamaha MPG32X) does not have any of those jacks. How can I connect the mixer to the equalizer and then from the equalizer to the PA amplifier (QSC RMX2450)?

If your mixer has the in and outs, your good. If not sell the 901s to a die hard, and gets some real speakers that are not a pia to setup and Sound just ok
