Yamaha receiver sound issue

I have a Yamaha receiver, When you go from say DVR list to regular Television I lose sound. At that point I have to switch the input to say fire stck and then switch it back to dct-64 xx. Does anyone know what I have wrong here.

It is useless posting here unless you give precise details of your equipment and how they are connected. That means make and model number and types of cabling and connections used.

What TLS said. Yamaha has been making A/V receivers for at least 30 years. We’re expected to know which one you have? Or what a “fire stck” or “dct-64xx” is?
