I would really love to be able to say I can clearly hear a difference in speaker cables. Someday, maybe I will be able to but until that day I'll just keep using my homemade ones. Happily.

Nah...it's a natural thing to lose the high frequencies first as we age and the little teeny vibrating bits and receiver/decoders in our ears harden up. I can picture myself saying this or that sounds better...just because I'm old and I said so.
