Hi,

I Purchased a Denon AVR 3000 and have an question about audessy. It allows you to take 8 separate measurements with the mic. My room only has 5 locations to sit and listen. Is it better to just take 5 measurements?

Thanks,

There's an Audyssey thread faq at AVS, there's some help around here, too, but a brief search didn't turn it up but thought I saw it the other day. It's usually recommended to run all available positions but not literally in the "seats". Position number 1 is key for measurements so that's my primary butt plant, then I run the rest within a relatively small area around it.

My room has only 2 main listening positions, but I still take all measurements... centered around the listening positions. Upright, reclined, leaning left and leaning right. I suggest using your last 3 measurements to augment your main position(s).
