The price increases with the durability of the marker type.
I had a survey when I bought my property 35 years ago. It was in the country. One of the corners they found was already marked with a buried tractor axle. I suppose it's still there. :)

Ended up getting some advice from my program manager's neighbor, who happens to be a realtor. She advised me to just call the title company and let them order the survey because it'd probably be cheaper. Contacted them today and it turned out she was right :) Getting the survey done for less than $400 and it'll happen quickly rather than take a couple weeks.

Text me when you have questions or needs in FTW, I know a lot of people.

You only pay mortgage insurance if you are putting down less than 20%.

The mortgage company should do the Title Search for you. Let me know if you need a good mortgage company. No way should should be at more than 3.5% on a fixed rate.

The Survey should be less than $400. If you have "questionable items" such a pool or outdoor kitchen that is in easement lines then that guy costs a little more but is available...

Thanks man. We do not have to carry PMI. The mortgage term is 15 years at 3%. The mortgage company is doing the title search. The property survey was something else needed. Getting it done now for less than $400 :) No questionable outdoor items because the only thing we have in the back is the 6x8 slab they call a back porch. I'm not sure what we'll be able to expand outside in the future because we live in an HOA :/

Sounds like you have it all worked out then.

One thing to consider on the HOA. When we decided we were building a pool, I ran and was elected for a position on the HOA Board. I approved our pool immediately and worked on a couple of projects and then quit showing up to the meetings.....
