Hmmm.... I just wonder how much db headroom difference is that. Since we all know that all channel driven its a lot lower compared to 2channel driven.
For example listening to music at all channel stereo..
I would like to get the best out of those speakers and thats the reason for wanting to use the amplifier for them.
The speakers are easily driven since they are high sensitivity, but still not bringing out the full potential when i would like to listen to music (loud) and watch a movie quite loud.
Thats my only concern.

Based on test data I have seen in the past, even in all channel stereo the difference will be in the neighborhood of a couple dBs. Also, remember when you listen to 7 channel stereo you have all 7 speakers making sound so that will offset some of the burden on the amps. Your Klipsch speakers are all rated 96 to 98 dB/1m/W and nominal impedance of 8 ohms. Even if you factor in the possibility that Klipsch exaggerrated their specs, a mid range AVR should have no trouble driving them in a small to medium size room.

If you listen to music and movie so loud that you have to worry about not bringing out their full potential you may risk damaging your hearing. I would say if you are really worry about that, then keep either the XPA-5 or the UPA-2 but you don't need both. Or if you must keep both then consider lower cost AVRs such as the SR-6010 or AVR-X4100W, both cann process 9 channels and have Audyssey Platinum. They should be good enough to hold you over for two years, especially the 6010. Even with those lower cost AVRs you really still don't need the UPA-2 in a 7.2 HT setup, the AVR can drive the rear surrounds easily.

Thank you for your input again. At this point I believe I will get the Marantz.

Thank you for your time and knowledge!

I have both the AVR-X7200WA in my theater, and the SR-7010 in my greatroom. I both cases they are driving NHT 6 Ohm speakers. Both systems have great AV processors and DACs. They both provide a wide variety of options when it comes to sound stage. Either sounds great simply in direct stereo or in so many other sound formats with music, screening videos, or movies. Denon and Marantz really have it going on. I have implemented Sonos and Sonos Connect to tie the two systems together and too other Sonos speakers throughout the house. I would highly recommend both the Denon x7200wa and the Marantz Sr7010, combined with the Sonos to any and every audio fanatic. They provide me constant entertainment no matter what I am doing. they have a very soothing effect throughout the house.
