How badly will this affect sound?

I am considering buying a Denon 300F turntable as a starter table. The most ideal placement distance will require RCA cable length of 20-25 feet. Any experts or experienced folks out there can tell me if: 1. Is this possible to do? 2. Will it adversely affect the sound? I am running it into an Anthem MX510, then Rotel RB-1582 MkII, then Revel F208's. :D

As long as you use good-quality cable with a good shield, 25 ft. is not a problem. There might be a slight loss in the high frequencies, but it’s nothing a common tone control can’t handle.

You don't want to send the signal from a turntable over long distance unless it has been converted to line level- typical phono output is far too weak to go that far without being degraded to the point of uselessness.

Your Anthem probably has a phono preamp, but the best thing to do it place a phono preamp near the turntable and send the output to one of the AUX inputs on the MX510.

Edited to add 'typical'.

I looked at Blue Jeans Cables, and they have a great set of cables for under a $100. I have a sub cable from them and love it. Fixed my hum immediately! Thanks for the quick reply.

That model of turntable is preamped. Will that make a difference in your statement?
