Just picked one of these little guys up for $35. Great shape and sounds pretty darn good for a bite sized powered sub/woofer. It's no giant killer, but it may be one of the smallest subwoofer I've ever had and it sounds pretty darn good so far.

I could live with it. Just needs a wipe down/dusting.

PSB being well known for quality, it's got to be a good bit better than anything else in that size that also starts with a P in the name (excepting PowerSound Audio and Paradigm.) People pay a LOT more for an equivalent size Pioneer or Polk and get quite a bit less sub. You stole it at that price!

Controls on the front is a nice touch.

They had a REL T3 as well, but it was far more money. I think they may have thought because the PSB was so small that it was a HTIAB subwoofer, or a PC subwoofer.

The Subzero I was a separate subwoofer offer from PSB that didn't belong to a HTIAB. PSB make nice sounding subs but for their price (new) they can easily be bested by our go to favorite ID brands.

He's always doin that. :D

I'll say something like this.

"they must have thought it was a piece of junk"

and he'll say

"it's actually a good item"

Just his way of agreeing and making me scratch my head wondering if he read the entire post. :D

If you were referring to me, I was merely correcting your incorrection assumption about the sub being a PC subwoofer or a HTIB subwoofer.

I said "I think they must have thought", hence the ridiculously low price. I knew exactly what it was when I saw it.

Nice find Seth. Lucky you. Years ago, I had a set of Acoustic Research 8" subs and man did they ever pack a punch. Thought they sounded great too with music. Congrats on the find!

Cheers,

Phil

Sorry if I made you upset. Bad joke I guess.
I don't know that I would assume you upset him.

@3db Sometimes it can be difficult to know if you misunderstood something, if you're just making complimentary commentary or if you're being contrary. This was evidenced by the thread from a couple days ago where I couldn't tell if you were agreeing with me or arguing and you finally said we were saying the same thing. There are other times when similar things happen and I usually just shrug it off because I can't figure out where you're going sometimes.

Its the nature of posting rather than a face to face chat.
