Hello, so I've never used a surround sound system before and I purchased the Panasonic sa-btt466 at a pawn shop yesterday. Had no manual or anything so I was going off the ones I seen online plus a video. I messed with this thing for hours last night and finally got it to work. Everything is plugged into and switched to the ARC mode and all speakers work in the sound test. Finally got it to work last night and ended up going to grab a bite to eat, came back home and no sound. I guess from being idle it shut off and when I turned it back on nothing. Does anyone know anything about this sound system? I just don't get what I have to do in order to get sound from the TV each time I turn it on.
You have probably found out why it was in the pawn shop.
If no connections or settings were changed while you were out, the unit has blown up.
HTIB units like that are an awful catch. They are useless and hopeless and have a very short life span indeed.
Check all the connections and if all is OK and the settings are correct then you are SOL.
Can you get sound and picture from the disc player? If that does not work at least, it is likely time to visit the recycling center.
