I suggest you get the HSU STF-2 instead. The FR in the range you'd use it for is very similar. I had one and it sounded great. If I still had it I would probably short sale my PS-1000. When I bought it I sold it for profit as that was my means of income at that time. I bought and sold a lot of stuff I wish I had kept, 20/20 hindsight. The STF-2 will have comparable output to the SVS as well, the driver and cabinet design make it quite efficient.
The only drawback of the STF-2 is that it is slightly larger than the SVS despite the smaller 10" driver. The cabinet size gives it the proper tuning to compete favorably to the SVS in extension and output.
