Hey guys. I need your opinions and suggestions with what I want to do. Right now I'm running a 5.1 system:
Polk TSi500's
Polk CS20
In-Ceiling Infinity CS60r's
Have never been to excited about how the In-Ceilings have been, but I thought for a long while I didnt have a choice with how my theater room is laid out. Went back to the drawing board recently to try and figure out how I could possible make it work with real surrounds, I think I may have figured it out. I really would like to get a pair of FXiA6's, but I don't know if my placement would be worth the price to buy them. I drew up a crude picture layout of my HT room; the A6's would be to the left and right of the seating position, about 9ft to the center point. The in-ceilings are set behind the couch line in a 9ft ceiling. Would this placement work? Do you think I'll get better "surround sound" then I am now with the in-ceilings? I would love to be able to do a 7.1 setup if possible, but would having the in-ceilings ruin the experience? Should I potentially just stay with a 5.1 and not have them hooked up at all?
Ideas? Suggestions? Comments? I'd love to hear it all
