I just saw a similar thread for this but figured I should make my own because I have a slightly different situation. I have a home pre-wired with speaker install points throughout the house. They are not positioned in a way that makes stereo imaging possible (and only one wire per mount point)... so I'm looking at a bunch of mono speakers.
What I can't seem to figure out is what the best receiver or other gear that would allow me to send a properly powered mono signal out to the speaker(s) of my choice.
My guess is that I should use a stereo receiver and some kind of distribution module, but I'm at a loss. I have 8 individual mono speaker connections.
I'm looking to use them for nice background music over Christmas and whatnot -- not going to have a rave or anything with these.
Halp!
