I was going to deep fry a turkey again this year, but talked myself out of it. Figured it would be cold and windy out. It's sunny and 60. Go figure

A happy Thanks giving to one and all.

The cooking is well under way. This is actually out first Thanksgiving on Benedict Lake. Normally we are in the Twin Cities, at Eagan. We are temporarily evicted from there due out son doing a massive remodel and addition to his house.

So we will be here for all three holidays this year.

I used to remember a holiday called Thanksgiving, way back when. That was before Black Friday swallowed it up. Now it's National Shopping Day, which we celebrate by buying some things cheaper than normal in a futile attempt to fill the terrible emptiness of our lives with consumer goods.

There is something distuRbing about Snoopy feeding his little bird friend, Woodstock, turkey (a bird). Maybe Woodstock can reciprocate and make a nice Korean dog dish for Snoopy.
