Question about MCACC Results

I was looking at my MCACC results yesterday and noticed that each channel's gain was being brought down by 4.0-4.5 db. I imagine this setting is done to level the volume from each speaker, however, each speaker was being brought down a minimum of 4db. Is there some other reason for this like calibrating the volume to reference level (0.0db) on my receiver? Or should I just edit them to only show the difference? (i.e. towers set to zero, center to -0.5db)?

Maybe it was to level-match the speakers to your subwoofer?

What kind of speakers and how far away did you place the mic when you did the calibration?

The speakers are Aperion 6T and a 5c, and the mic is about 10' from the center, with the towers being slightly farther.

That's exactly what MCACC is doing...

Unless things have changed over the years, setting the master volume level to 0.0db is Pioneer's Reference Volume Level...

MCACC is adjusting your speaker channel volumes so that they have the same Reference Volume Level (85db?) when the master volume level is set to 0.0db...

Hope that makes sense...
