I love veggies and fruits, but having grown up on a farm, most of what's available generally sucks. Lousy flavor, texture, old. I grow some of my own and go to actual farms during the warm weather for things I don't grow. There are often scores or even hundreds of varieties of some veggies but most aren't amenable to things like mechanical harvesting, appearance, shipping, etc. so the qualities that make them tasty are sacrificed. On the farm if you wanted corn you went out and picked it. My mother would can a lot of stuff, freeze others. Our frozen beans, made in the winter were nothing like that sh!t in the stores. I say more power to you if you're a hard core vegan. Keep your proselytizing to yourself.
