yeaa, it's an expensive solid wood tv stand that my wife loves. Finding a shorter center will probably be my safest bet lol

Could you fit tv floor stand behind that av stand? I myself have done that and works like a charm. I have similar one to this, I just didnt install the middle shelf on it and the floor plate fits under my av stand: www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0HZPVC
There are stands with different height so I'm sure you could find one that fits you.

You misunderstood. I meant place the speaker on the TV stand, then place the TV on top of the speaker.

No I understood. Center speaker on the TV stand, then the TV ontop of the speaker. The TV doesn't sit sturdy on top of the center speaker unfortunately.

I'm no expert but when I had my son bring over my new SVS SB1000 to install after "breaking it in" for me (he wants one BAD now for himself), I had the same question as the SB1000 has the same sockets. He said the red is for the right channel if both are used as straight line-level inputs, though internally combined for output. A single LFE output from a receiver or amp is a signal already combined, it seems.

Of course my son could easily be FOS.
