We agree on that! But, were the opportunity to present itself, I'd still be open minded (to put it politely)!

I do wish they had followed up on more specifics here:

Of course, this is where the record labels love to cut off, because it’s so much easier to manufacture a lower-quality CD. That’s not for us. They literally disagree with us, because we don’t believe in allowing them to cut corners.

What are the corners the labels want to cut?
I'm not sure I get the idea of it being easier to manufacture a lower quality CD - It sounds like the production values are there for the original recording, and I cannot think of any parameters which be easier when making the CD's!
