Bad show, Volkswagon. I expected better of you.

Yes, but do they do it n the same fashion as VW?
Not sure if you read the article or not.
It really wasn't about VW insofar as it compared lab-based emissions testing (used now) with real-world measurement. That exposed the over-emissions of all the diesel engines.

I read the article. I don't expect artificial testing constructs to equate to real world results be it emissions, mileage, treadwear, etc. My comment above was more of a rhetorical nature. Fahrvernugën and all that.

I saw where Consumer Reports tested the cars at a facility both as is and after disabling the rear wheel sensors finding that mileage dropped from 54 to 50 or so while acceleration to 60 added a little over 1/2 sec. more time. Doesn't seem terrible to me.

I just bought a bunch of VW stock...it is a strong buy rating and they are paying very good dividends....they will recover and I can make some money. Always got to look for a silver lining in the thunder clouds....

Stock's trading around 106 with dividends a little over a buck and we've yet to know what the punitive damages will be. How many shares did you buy?

Not a lot about 80 shares. I got them at around $93-94/share.
