The mains and center are set to small but I left the low-pass filter in place because I'm fairly certain its being caused by the converter.

I don't have "Mad Max: Fury Road, but I may have to get it. I wanted to see it in theaters but never got around to it. So that's probably next on my shopping list.

About the center console, what's your take on mounting above or before the TV? The center channel is 12" deep by 9" high by 30" wide. I could build a shelf angled down at the listening position. I think that might look cleaner and should allow me to have greater ability to place the tv, however it also limits me if I ever want to move anything. So I don't know which direction to go with that but I guess for now I'll design it without the speaker.

As far as sound quality, I don't think it makes much difference whether you place the center above or below the television as long as the tweeter is angled toward the primary listening position. Some people say you'll get the best sound quality when the center is as close to ear height as possible. Not sure whether I agree or disagree. My center is only a few inches off the floor and angled up, but it still sounds anchored to the television.

Here's an idea. You could build a shelf that rests on the television itself like a center stage bracket. That way you could have the benefits of cleaner look and television placement without the limited flexibility for change.

I like the idea of the center stage bracket, except it means I can't wall mount the TV. Also, my center channel weighs about 40-50lbs, so I'm not certain a TV could support that kind of weight hanging off the top of it like that.

Egad! I've seen 12" subwoofers that don't weigh 40 lbs. Well, it was a thought, anyway.

It's a 3-way center channel, I was so impressed with the SR-71's I had made that I looked into Zaph Audio's other speakers. I found the ZDT3.5 on his website and saw it had a center channel option. After a lot of research on center channels, I decided to go with it and couldn't be happier... but it weighs at LEAST 40lbs if not more. I was thinking a simple bracketed shelf above the tv or simply setting it slightly angled upward on the entertainment center. I planned to go simple with the entertainment center, something 60" wide by 26" high (same height as the end table). My original plan was to tuck the center channel just below the top edge and center it. My concern with going on top of the EC was that I was thinking the TV might be too high then.
