Hi and welcome. :)

Not sure I can help but a couple of possibility. Your account level with netflix may not allow 5.1, material sent may not have 5.1 although prologic is Dolby.
How are you getting Netflix, through what component? Maybe that is not capable? If a computer, maybe that doesn't have the right sound card capability?

I am sure others will have a definitive answer for you.

Also, make sure your streaming device is set for DD 5.1 output. If you’re using a smart TV, many of them don’t deliver 5.1 through their digital outputs.

Just to cover the obvious question:
Do you play DVD or BD discs?
If so, does it go into Prologic?

Sequentially list the components the signal goes through before it reaches the Denon, that should help us pin-point the most likely suspects.

Thanks folks for your reply to my Denon question of going into into prologic mode when playing netflix movies.Audioholic Ninja gave me an indirect answer when he told me to list sequentially the components connected before reaching the Denon. I had the blu-ray connected to the the HDMI2 on the Sharp TV and HDMI1 from the tv to the Denon ARC HDMI. I don't have the internet wired to the tv nor the Denon, because it is to far away in another room so that's why I am using the Netgear 750 for streaming the movies to the TV in the Family room. I disconnected the Samsung blu-ray from the HDMI2 on the tv and connected it to the Denon HDMI and sure enough, the prologic indicator disappeared and the Dolby Sound came alive from the netflix movies. So I am glad I joined the audioholic online. Thank you for your help, I am beginning to learn something.
