NAD T758 or separates advice

I purchased a NAD T758 for a 5.1 (7.1 soon) setup and have had some HDMI issues with it. At this point, I can return it or wait for the HDMI 2.0 card to be released in about a month.
I was wondering if I would be better served replacing it with an Onkyo TX-NR838 for surrounds and a Niles Si-2100 or Russound R290DS to drive the fronts. My though is that in the long term, this setup might give me more pre/pro options and better stereo sound quality having a separate amp for stereo listening.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
- I have Klipsch RP-250Fs for fronts.

I am not sure the Onkyo's reliability, but I am sure it has superior specs vs the T758's. Subjective reviews and hearsay will tell you NAD AVR, Arcam, Anthem etc., are better for music while Onkyo, D&M are for features. Those are BS, spread by hearsay and not back up for bench test data. For some reasons such hearsay are not so prevalent in Europe.

Either one should have no trouble driving the RP-250Fs without the help of the Niles Si-2100. I doubt that Niles amp will improvement sound quality for your setup at all.
