tempting.. u are not that far. I am at 20148.. but think it would be smaller for a 13' feet wide wall.

The size of the screen is really dependent on a few factors. Primary being your seating distance, a close second is how far or close you can comfortably mount your projector, and finally whether or not your projector possesses the zoom to work properly at that distance.

It shouldn't matter how wide the wall is, because if you don't have the right projector or can't mount the projector at the proper distance from the wall, then a bigger screen wouldn't do you any good.

Excuse the mess, I'm cleaning out by back room. For reference, this is the screen mounted on a 14+ foot wide wall. Let me know if you need any more information or would like to come see it.

nice.. your setup looks great.!!

I dont have a projector yet.. was planning to get a screen and project around nov/dec.. projector and wall distance would be around 17 feet, so I think I can go with a wider projector.. also figure out the wiring of power for the screen.. the deal is good, so I am tempted to buy earlier.. let me think about it.

currently i am more focused in figuring out the LCR speakers, sub and receiver...!!

Don't forget, that you can't go bigger without a brighter projector. I don't know what your price range is for a projector, but mos that offer the really deep blacks, especially after calibration, can't handle screen sizes much greater than 130". Also, don't set your projector distance yet. Use a projector/screen size calculator to see how far your projector should be from the screen.

You said your PJ/screen distance is about 17ft, but what is your seating distance? Actual seating distance should play a role in how big the screen you go. If you sit too close to a big screen you actually start degrading image quality by being able to see pixels. There's an optimum seating distance and/or screen size for 1080P.

just measured the room... projector will be between 16ft/192in and seating will be at 14ft/168in. Planning to put a shelf right behind the couch with a projector in it.

So i was assuming to have a 135" diagonal screen size screen. which turns to 9.5ft wide to 6ft height screen. So I would need a 4k projector that would not deminish the quality?

or do you think i can survive with a 130" diagonal screen size with a 1080p projector?

thank you for the link.. might have to study it a bit more with the throw distance, throw range, brightness, contrast ratio..!

There are no native 4K projectors for the home, at least not under $10K so my knowledge. Also, there is no 4K content out there. It would also help if you had a projector in mind so you can make sure it's going to be bright enough for that distance and that size screen. If you want the deep black levels, you definitely have to check the PJ against the calculator because you have to remember that after proper calibration you'll only be at half to a third of the rated lumens. If you don't care about getting down to those deep black levels, then you can also get away with a cheaper PJ.

or do you think i can survive with a 130" diagonal screen size with a 1080p projector?
Again, it depends on PJ and what your expectations are. You should also just tape out the dimensions of the 92" screen and the 130" screen to see which would work better for your space.

Closer, but not close enough (physically and temporally). I'm going Omaha to Pittsburgh. I'll be looking for deals on the Sony HW40 around Thanksgiving.

Your Amazon link gives a $750+ best price! You're practically giving it away.

Tell me about it. I just can't seem to unload this thing. If I have to store it when the new screen gets here the GF is going to flip.
