I watched it Saturday evening and I really enjoyed this flick. The effects were awesomely awesome...I mean they were top notch, the sound track was stellar, the story was good and the acting ranged from very good to meh depending on the character. Definately a purchase IHO.

It is definitely a rental but I did enjoy it also. The audio was great and it kept me entertained.

That movie sucked so hard I almost cried. I can see why hockey loving cultures would go for it though. Every fight scene had looked like they got the choreographer from Ice Capades to stage it. The Wachovskis are starting to irritate me.

I got through this but really only because there wasn't anything else to do and the g/f would have been pissed if I'd have given up on it. She knows I know she hates any of that spacey stuff but I sold it on the head liners. The 'bad guy' was played really well and this might have worked for me if they had reduced some of the CGI and shown a lot more Mila in various states of undress. Less of that furry themed stuff too. People are freaky weird for that sh!t. I don't get it. If I wanted a dog or a cat, I'd have a dog or a cat. Just be yourself, right?

Not yet. Been busy being nurse and maid for my wife post knee/leg surgery. The Tour de France is on now so most of my viewing time will be tied up with that until the last week of July. It should be in redbox by then.

I watched only the first half of the movie in the plane, it was entertaining but not exactly a great movie.

I'm a sci-fi nut so I had little choice but to like it. I thought the space ships were very cool and the CGI was pretty good. I do agree that the acting of the good guys sucked real lemons which made watching the villians that more entertaining. Its not a great movie by any stretch of the imagination. Its entertaining, great use of surrounds and good bass affects. I'll probabally watch at least once more before passing on

Rented it last week and thought it was a complete pile of crap. My wife bailed out after the first hour and said, "You can finish the movie without me." We watched Project Almanac the next day and she said, "That was much better than that stupid Jupiter movie."

About the only positive thing I can say about the movie was the cool bass during the laser fight scene at the OB/GYN clinic in the beginning.

Just getting around to watch this now. So far, up to chapter two, it reminds me a LOT of David Lynch's 1984 Dune.

[edit] Chapter 5 - Good shoot 'em up with lotsa SFX and noise. I love the crop circles. Nice touch.

[edit] Well, we watched it to the end. More mindless violence, chase scenes and various actors chewing the scenery. My favorite was the "droid" that was assigned to get Mila Kunis through the bureaucratic maze. He had the best part in this movie, IMNSHO, of course.

All in all, a pretty good action flick if you ignore the overly convoluted plot, silly acting and a plethora of inane characters. The flying lizard people were fun, though.

I watched it again last night and still enjoyed it. This time I understood the plot in its entirety paying closer attention to the story instead of allowing distractions to take me a way from teh film. The visual effects were good and there some many spots where the bass showed up really really low. The "droid" was funny.

Saw it yesterday ouf of boredom and have very low expectations - since I heard older reviews.
I agree with most.
Mostly Entertaining, Awesome FX, but true Storyline and acting varies from terrible to average.
Turn of brain and enjoy the show, while Owner of Earth cleans toilets...
