Sony 70" XBR or 75" KDL ?

Hey guys the inputs on my 73" Mitsubishi took a dump.

I am going to replace it soon. I just can't decide between the 70" XBR70X850B or the 75" KDL75W850C

I wish the new 75" XBR was in the budget! But unfortunately about $3000 is all I want to spend.

Is the XBR features worth the hit on screen size.

If it matters I will be using a sound bar regardless which I choose.

The XBR is 4K but without the High Dynamic Range capability. Might as well stick to the KDL.

I was looking at the exact same TVs but now they're only $200 apart I can get EXTR for $2500 a and KDL for $2300

I stopped by a local BB and was comparing it to non 4k sets... And the upconversion looked great on 4k.

The salesman claims led panels have a 15year lifespan... So I am considering it more of an investment I guess... I think I am going to save some penny's and go for the 75" XBR.

Yea I didn't believe him either. But I figure even it it last 3-5 years 4k should be integrated pretty good by then

Just sucks because it seems for the cost of a high end 1080p panel the price isn't far off from "future proof" 4k set...

LG is really the only game in town right now. I think Samsung has 1 model OLED, but it's curved.
