It's a 2313CI, not the three digit model, so it's not entry level- it had five models below it. Still, it's not the AVR-3313CI, 4313CI, or 4520CI.
You are right, the 2313, 2312, 2311, CI or not, most likely have the same amp section. Let's call them the top end of the entry level. The mid range Denon AVR starts with the 33XX, ends with the 4520 and now the 7200, still no top end after the 5308. Not a bad thing because the point above the flag ship mid range AVR should probably be "separates" anyway.

Maybe your hearing is above average. Its not that it's impossible seeing that Chuck Yeager had vision that was 40/20 . :)

Somehow, my brother and I both have an extremely accurate sense of relative pitch, verging on perfect pitch. We also heard the ultrasonic alarms in our high school- I was told that it operated in the 23KHz range.

He was adopted. I can't explain it, but our mom was always a bit sharp when she whistled along with music and it made our skin crawl. :D
