Does Audio product placement exist?

I thought of this while watching Daredevil when we are in Fisk's Penthouse. There was classical music playing, but we never saw where it came from and I was thinking how a pair of KEF Muon's ($185,000) would look about right in his mostly metal decor:

It would certainly create some buzz among fans wondering what they were and what type of gear a wealthy, refined (but ethically-challenged), power-monger would possess. It would put KEF on the map (I would venture most Americans have never heard of KEF).

We have seen that Hollywood has started making a few extra bucks by inserting "advertiser's" products in a film. The cool car, the brand of beer drunk, store front in the background, etc.
Seinfield had a Klien bike hanging in his apartment (don't know if he got paid for it, but it didn't hurt Klien's bottom line).

So, I am wondering if you have ever seen specific HiFi gear in a TV show or movie.

Martin Logan does some including Friends, the new Odd Couple reboot, and The Italian Job off the top of my head. They also did a "How It's Made" episode.

The show Elementary rocks some Mc gear in Sherlock's home. I could never figure out what his speakers were though.

Thought it was an Axiom M60:

But realized it must be an Energy CF-70:

@KEW: I guess you haven't seen enough episodes:
Here is from Episode 10

I could swear these are B&W 800 Diamonds speakers

also I'm not the only one to notice it

yes, center location is curious one...
Cool!
I think Episode 8 is next for me!
Muon still seems more appropriate, heck, I know a guy who used to have Diamonds and he was a mundane pharmacist!
But nice that they actually showed some serious gear.
Is that tiny thing a sub to go with the Diamonds?
I guess there is a drop down screen for HT, but hate to see the center on the floor!

Edit: Sorry, I edited as you were posting Re: screen.

Top of window might be a roll down screen. And yes, that fart box is way too small for that room.

A newish show called 'Bosch' had a McIntosh tube amp, Thorens turntable and Kef 107 speakers.

There is Mcintosh gear in The Departed. In Mark Wahlberg's or was it Matt Damon's apartment.

Apple product placement is obvious in hollywood films and TV for PC's and likley iPhones ,iPads as well and ofc the car companies have always been all in there .

OTOH in the case of random occasional shots of anyhing they could be fakes or real items that prop houses and individuals rent out or the studio's have on hand also .

When you see a lot of anything current or recent you can buy popping all over or even on a specific show that's more likley specific product placement or at least brand recognotion product placement

Total Recall one (origional ) even had what was by then an obscure all but dead now gone once prominent long before then Curtis Mathes TV brand product placement .

The most common speakers I've seen in movies/ shows are the Meridian speakers.

great show btw
I wouldn't mind if it came back, as long as they don't turn him into a super-hero cop who has free access to everything in the department, even though he's officially in hot water on a regular basis.

Elementary shows the glowing Mcintosh stuff often. There was an outstanding system in the Girl With Dragon Tattoo remake in the bad guys house, near the end.

I saw a stereo set up on Family Guy but before I could figure out what brand the speakers were I realized that they were cartoon speakers ... I don't know what's wrong with me.

On 30 Rock Tracy Jordan had Revel Salon 2's in his dressing room. I'm going to guess that the show didn't pay for those.

Clearly a Sanyo/Technics/Sony clone Hi-Fi rack system.

Also, you're not the only one to wonder about this, so don't be too hard on yourself :D. Plus, I just spent the last 15 minutes trying to find an exact match on Google Image search.

Here you go...
