Some type of vermin has taken residence in my 2012 Sonic!
It could be a meat roach or some type of very small rodent.
I hear a scratching type noise in the headliner. At first I was driving and thought it was a leaf or pine needle stuck in door and flapping against car, but today it happened while I was sitting still with car off! I whacked the headliner where I heard the noise, but didn't hear any gratifying response.
Any ideas how to deal with it? I figure if I drop the headliner, it would go some place in the frame I couldn't get to. (obviously it has a pretty good tunnel habitat).
Maybe if I put my dual E15HP's in the car and ran a 16Hz signal?:D

Leave the doors open at night.
Yeah, he's probably lonely. He could have some friends over, listen to some tunes, chew some wires...it'll be fun.:D

Seriously, that would be annoying.:(

I have just gone to war with Raticus Von Rat. There's a colony under my front step. It's concrete, enclosed on the sides, but hollow underneath, which makes an ideal home...if you're a rodent. I've caught two so far, but I have to be stealthy about it, because my daughter wouldn't be happy to hear that Dad is harming cute little rats. I'm all about live and let live - but not if they're that close to my castle.

Look here you hermit. Rodents like to get out once in a while to have a few drinks. If the car is gone as cars are known to be ... you've seen the wheels :D ... well, the interloper might find other accommodations.

... or you could put stray cats into your car in the evenings.

Sorry to hear it. We have 2 2004 Maximas. On 3 separate occasions have had critters in the ventilation... 2 snakes and 1 mouse. Each time, the critter was killed by the fan. Filter is between the fan and car interior, so no chance of critter entering the cabin, but smell was awful. Each time required replacement of the whole ventilation, costing about $1k.

Hope your resolution is easier.

I bagged 2 more rats today. Plus, an unfortunate squirrel. But, such is war and collateral damage happens. This is becoming a war of attrition.

I'm thinking try mouse trap for starters. Can't hurt (if I don't put my fingers where they don't belong)!

You're leaving town, just bug bomb it and it'll be clear by the time you get back!

Check your cabin air filter. I have cleared field mice out of there on a couple of occasions.
