Need recommendations for music in shower.

I am looking for recommendations for a good sounding speaker for use in shower for my daughter.
A simple radio is an option or a BT speaker would also work.
Mainly water proof, and sound decent near-field in shower.

I know you said mainly water proof but I haven't heard any. However I have heard this UE and it sounds surprisingly good. I've thought about getting one for my bathroom. We use them at work sometimes and corner loading them is pretty effective. They even have a little port. I would not hesitate to recommend it. Just set it on the counter, medicine cabinet or in a corner on the floor. The battery takes a few charge cycles to come up to full capacity.

Not sure how much you want to spend, but I helped my neighbor's wife with this. He loves it. We've listened to it sitting on their patio but the primary use will be for long days on their boat.

She inherited one of my traits, which is the habit of "spacing out" in the shower. Music in the shower keeps me present and I can schedule life knowing it takes 20 minutes for a shower instead of sometimes 20 and other times 45!

No, I'm in Georgia. We had some drought issues for a spell around 2007 which raised awareness of the longer term concerns for potential problems. The main outcome of that is Ga, Fla, and Al fighting over how to divvy up the Chatahoochee River.
Water here will become scarce in time, from increased population if nothing else.

I had a $25 off code for it making it $30 as well. It sounds a little treble heavy, but sound is full for small BT speaker. I'll have to see if I can EQ to fix. One of the reviewers said that worked well, but I need to find an app to EQ pandora.
