Hi,

I am fairly new to the audio world, and i hope to get for my upcoming birthday to buy a decent 3.1 audio set :)

I have not listening yet to certain speakers, but i tend to do that during the holiday season (july/August).

The budget i have is 3500 Euro. Can't go higher than this :p

I wonder how to devide the budget to a 3.1 system setup?

Also another question, my living room is an, how you call it, a 20 square meter open room.(sorry english is not my basic language). Where i watch tv it's 10 square meter, and it goes further to another 10 square meter.

I wil post a picture as soon as i can so you can see how it kinda looks like.

Now, normally for small rooms, people advice that i better take 2 Bookshelf speaker on a stand instead of a floorstanding speaker.

However, for the price of Bookshelf speaker with the stand, for example, if i want to buy a kef R300 with an additionel stand, that would cost me about the same for a floorstander.

That is kinda where my other dilemma is.

Here in my region, i can mostly listen to Dali, Klipsch, B&W, Kef and a few others.

Hope i can get some help what to take on my budget and what kind of brands i should listen to :)

Ty very much.

Kind Regards

Boogie

The R300 can work fine with a sub in your room

sorry for the late reply, i believe i can listen to the wharfedale diamands, but also monitor audio stand on my listening wishlist and b&w cm 8, tough would the b&w cm8 be to much for my small room?

They can stand 2 feet away from the wall, tough the right speaker would be in a corner.
But i hear from other people that the cm8 is kinda like a Bookshelf on a stand.
