Significant Snowfall Expected.

We received a foot of snow on Sunday. There's a snowstorm going on right now and we should have another foot down by the time it's done. Arrgghh!

Judging by your boring thread post , you folks are getting slammed by old man winter. I feel for ya , this snow has been crazy in the Noreast.

Just so you don't feel too bad, we're getting a bit of snow here tomorrow to celebrate the official arrival of Spring.

Great to know we're not alone! The plow finally came through - the street is one lane wide, but at least I can get out now. I just got in from shovelling the gargantuan snow berm that got dumped into my driveway. I watched "Zero Dark Thirty" this afternoon, while I waited for the plow.

Where we are, the plows come after we've shoveled out our sidewalk and driveways. They come by fast ...and throw gigunda chunks of compacted snow right over where we've just shoveled. Gotta love those city workers. >(

That's why I don't bother with the end of the driveway until the plow goes by - however long it takes. We live on a sidestreet, with about a dozen houses on it and it's usually one of the last plowed, because they concentrate on all the main routes before they look at the sidestreets. And, because our street is on a fairly steep hill, when we get as much snow as this, a dump truck with a plow won't get through it very easily. It was a big front-end loader with a plow that cleared our street yesterday.

A car hit a pole last night around 7:30 and we lost power.
Of course it was during the last ten minutes of a movie.

Don't think I didn't hear it last night. Even though it was only out for two hours.

It gets better, my brother and I have for big whole house gen sets on trailers. Two gas, two diesel. I want to hold out and use it on a future place in Florida.
Those little Honda's kick ass. I used to run a conduit threader and a bender on one.
They start every time with one pull.
