Thank you all! These are really helpful! I decided to take AA and Dayton sub.

What about Denon AVR 3805 vs Yamaha RX-V 1700 used receivers? They are both for 180~200. Anything to notice when buy used receivers?

If it were me I'd go for the beautiful Yamaha. 10 more watts than the Denon, 2 HDMI(Denon 3805 has none) + Orange LED lights, cool. Run don't walk and get it and make sure everything works. Don't forget to posts pics when you get everything setup. Enjoy.

Good call on the AA speakers

Make sure the receivers have their remote - and if the seller
can demo the receiver.

I would tend to favor the Yamaha

Your call

Yamaha RX-V 1700 receiver is gone, sadly! Should've 'run' and get it. What about Yamaha RX-V 2400 vs Denon 3805?

You can get this since your turntable has a buit in pre-amp for 50 bucks more + something more modern: http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/yamrxv573bl/yamaha-rx-v573-7.1-channel-network-av-receiver/1.html

Looks like a GREAT deal with HDMI. Contact the seller and ask if everything works fine? + maybe they can go lower $20-30 less if they can't no biggie: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-RX-V661-7-1-Channel-A-V-Home-Theater-Receiver-Bundle-w-Remote-HDMI-Cable-/181687515045?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a4d6b77a5

Second vote for the RX-V661. Nice AVR and I like the condition of that one.

I have another thought about the receiver. Since I'll only use 2.1 in my bedroom using lp and pc and not concerned with home theater in the near future, should I consider stereo receiver like Yamaha RS700, used RX-397 or integrated amps and DAC(easier to upgrade than stereo receiver?)? I can squeeze a little and make my budge to 300 for the receiver/amp. Do u guys think it's worth it? Or should I simply get rxv661 573?

Yamaha RX-V661 all the way. Later on if you decide to add Home theater at least you have the option and the price can't be beat.
