How can I play music from my phone to bluetooth and an AVR as well at the same time?

I want to play off a large bluetooth system as well as a speaker setup off an avr. How can I do this?

As far as I know it's not possible due to the parameters of Bluetooth. I am pretty sure it can only pair to one device at a time.

If it's an iPhone and the AVR has AirPlay, you can do this but the battery will not last long.
