Hey guys, I'm a major noob, I've been reading about everything I could for the last three weeks. I bought a Pyle amplifier, because, it said it could put out 3000W, and I really liked that because I could easily upgrade to a 2 ohms speakers. However, a few weeks upon using it, the left channel, got super weak, and It wouldn't play great at all, plus it made a clicking sound as well... The cool thing was, was that I could plug it to my PC via RCA component, but I found out later that Pyle was a"Pyle of sh#t" Now I have no Amp to control my speakers... and I just want a good one that has the potential to go up to 2ohm speakers but not break the bank necessarily. Can you guys share your expertise with amps? Please direct towards the right direction and show me some really good brands of amps that I can connect to my PC and use it to mainly listen to music from my PC. could anyone help?? thank you!!

Define "break the bank" GOOD amps that can drive 2 ohm loads are neither plentiful nor cheap.

What speakers are you driving and why do you need 2 ohms? They are designed for automotive use, and for good reason.

I want to have a home setup really, is not for a car. these speakers are two old big speaker I found, I believe there 254W each 8ohms. However, I want to have a setup for my PC to run these two which have split wire terminals in the back and I made banana plugs for the end the connects to the amplifier. are there amps that will work for what I need to or will I have to get a home theater system?? I dont really know so that why I ask. I just want the best possible range of upgrade ability. I guess Im trying to say is that I want the best sound to come out of these speakers. Could you help me??

I have no idea what you mean "split wire terminals".

How did you wire them to a banana plug? I get the feeling you might have miswired them and shorted out the amp.

Why do you think you NEED two ohm capability and 3000 watts? Two ohm speakers ar efor cars, not home use and 3000 watts is insane, and not in a good way.

You may be better off ditching those speakers.

Ohh ok I see, well Ive been looking online, and I need a amp receiver, more like a home theater. The Pyle I had bought kinda did all that. However there very cheap in terms of manufacture. Ohh I see so 2ohms are mainly built for cars? ok I see.
What I mean by the terminal, was that its an old terminal where you have to split the wire from positive and ground and shove them in and clamp down on them. and on the other wend I just bough banana plugs and placed so they could go onto the receiver. the speakers work great, its the receivers left channel that crapped out??

I still don't understand your wiring. Its simple red to red, and black to black from amp to speakers.

I have a strong feeling you did something very stupid and blew the amp.

ok, sorry for making it sound so complicated. Ok the speaker where wired correctly they work just fine. It was the left channel on the Amp that crapped out. Its a Four Channel Amp, with Front left/right and back left/right, I tested this by plugging in both speaker from left/right to Left/left then Right/right. its the left channel on the Amp that is defective. All id ask is that you guy show me a options of home theater amp/receivers so I can plug these speakers to?? could any one help showing me a few good brands???

Your writing is very unclear. You might know what you are trying to say but you communicate it to others very poorly.

You should be using only two channels, one per speaker.

The problem with this thread is you are referring to being able to drive 2 ohm speakers down the road. That is pretty specialized requirement for non-automotive gear. If you named speakers and asked for a good amp for those speakers, I think someone could give you a straight answer.
Pyle is definitely a brand to avoid. Actually any amp that advertises as producing 3000 watts is questionable. Ultimately an amp can't produce more energy that what your household wiring allows. Perhaps you missed the fine print that said "Instantaneous watts, one time only - during failure by lightening strike!"

If you want an amp for your current speakers, tell us what speakers they are. The specification of "254Watts at 8 Ohms" is suspect. A company may have a minimum recommended power requirement and a maximum allowable power requirement. Both of these are realistically estimates and estimating 254 instead of a round number like 250 seems pretty contrived (kind of like 3000 watts). More important for determining power requirements is the efficiency of the speakers.

What speakers do you have? If there's no brand markings, post a photo. 2 Ohms is not a standard speaker load, so you have have something that were home-made or modified. This would be the best way to begin the search- the more we know, the better we can make a recommendation.
