Depends on your expectations* but with your budget, you don't really have to many options. A good amp alone will cost more than what you want to spend, even if you were to build a box for those two car subs.

* If you're expecting your room to go "thump thump" like a car, that's never going to happen, maybe at any price.

Below is a link to a review of the SUB-1200. I set up a budget system for my girlfriend and used the SUB-1200. It is an impressively musical sub, and incredible for the price. I would challenge anyone to suggest a better sub for music under $400 (aside from DIY and the SUB-1500)! I like it better than my $600 SVS SB-12plus!

He likes the entire aperion 5.1 system he bought. He wants it repaired because he loves their stuff. We are not gping to just keep the sub without getting the amp repaired. Especially if its a $500 sub.

I still think he deserve to see these threads if he's bankrolling you on this. He can get a better sub for $50 less than it costs to repair the current sub or, for $ more, a much, much better sub.

Its alright. When I buy the dayton 12in he will surely be convinced anyways he is not really in the hobby anymore. Hes a big skiier and spends most of his time skiing anyway.

Yes, you can. Just get a "Y" splitter. ...and it's not an aux output. It's a sub/LFE output.

Using a plitter will that affect quality at all or not at all. But do you know where I can find a cheap one thats goof aswell?

You really should start doing a little thinking on your own. It's not really that difficult.

Look at the back of your receiver.

See what plug you need to put in the LFE jack.

Now, look at the back of your sub, or subs. See what kind of jacks you need to plug into them. Get long enough RCS interconnects to reach the back of your receiver.

Now, buy the "Y" connector that will let you join the two interconnects into the "Y" connector coming out of the receiver.

Hint: there's only two kinds of RCA jacks: male and female.
