Yamaha/YPAO crossover question

I have a Yamaha Aventage rxa 1030 and after running ypao it designated my ascend s2's as large speakers. Under the crossover setting it was at 80hz.

My question is since the speakers were set to large, is this crossover setting bypassed and they are running full range, or are they being cutoff at 80hz?

I have just been running a 2.0 setup for the past few months but now have a sub on the way and have started messing with settings more and want to get this tweaked to the best 2.1 system it can be until I can get it up to 5.1.

After running ypao it set one of the speakers at a +.5db and the other at 0db. I also read that the best sound for the PEQ setting is through. I have had it set on flat, but just changed it to through. Haven't had much time for any detailed listening to see which I prefer.

I am new to all of this so any tips/pointers are appreciated.

Quickly parsing through the manual...It depends if you have the "Extra Bass" setting turned on. If its turned on, it will send bass to both the fronts and the sub. If it snot selected, it will send bass only to the sub.

YPAO is correcting for acoustic differences with the way your speakers interact with the room. Its highly dependent on speaker position within the room so it doesn't surprise me that the settings are different for the two speakers. :)
