Hey to all! Just thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself. I come not really as a beginner but surely not a pro at audio/home theater stuff. I'm currently a member of the Polk Audio forum but since the last update its... not as good as it once was. Many have jumped ship I believe. Anyway, I'm looking for a cool community to join and keep up with as we meander through this hobby.

My modest current setup includes the following: Toshiba HD 52" TV, Onkyo 809 Receiver, Parasound 2250 stereo amp, Polk Audio RTi12 towers, CSi5 center, FXiA6 surrounds, and a PSW505 sub. Can you tell I've been at a Polk forum?? Anyway, its good stuff and enjoy it immensely and hope to keep upgrading as time passes! I let the Onkyo work the center and surrounds and obviously the Parasound powers the towers. Works well! The 12s hold their own when the sub is off, but that rarely happens now.

Looking at the future I'd like to be looking at a 5ch amp or a 7ch and sell the 2ch (probably after I build and move) and upgreade to a 7 channel surround setup. Also, I like the looks of the PSA subs. That's about it! Looking forward to lots of good reading and info.

Welcome to the forum, Cliff! You'll have to let us know what you think of it. What update happened over at Polk? Audioholics just recently underwent a change to the forum software/format, too, making it (IMO) significantly different than before. Seems slower around here since the change, but maybe it's just me.

Some pretty big changes to the whole site. They took down a "member's rig" picture area, groups are gone, and the format is just more difficult to use. So far I like what I see here. I enjoy seeing newest posts and discussions just too see recent stuff. I did notice some extended page loading times but that'll probably be overcome soon.
