I read some time ago that a review of the D-sonic amps were being performed by audioholics.

has the review been cancelled or is it still in progress?

I am very interested in buying one of these amps, and have been waiting for a long time for a reviews with all the measurements.

is there going to be a review of them as promised?

No unfortunately the manufacturer couldn't wait a moth or so after I received the sample so I sent it back. Maybe next time.

Hmm. If I truly wanted my product to be reviewed and measured, waiting 1 or 2 months shouldn't be an issue. Hopefully they have more than one amp. :)

They are either selling so well that they couldn't spare a test sample for a few weeks, or they are having financial situation where they need every last dollar they can get their hands on.

Or maybe they got cold feet and didn't want to expose some weaknesses in their amps? :D

Are these class-D amps any better sounding than the Crown XLS class-D amps?

The Crown XLS 2500 is $500 and outputs 440W x 2 CH into 8 ohms.

The D-Sonic M3 is $1375 and outputs 400W x 2Ch into 8 ohms.

They probably only have 1 or 2 demo units, so they want to get those in as many hands as possible as quickly as possible.

That's how smaller companies operate.

I was about to pull the trigger on one of these, the M3-1200S-A, 2 x 600w, but this gives me pause, I wanted a full review including real world specs.

Is there a reputable brand with a stereo D amp available at around $2,000?

Above mentioned Crown is VERY positively reputable. Crown is one of Harman's pro brands.
The real question is - do you have 2k burning your pocket?

Yeah, Harman International is very reputable. They make the JBL Synthesis and Revel Salon2, Mark Levinson, Lexicon, and Crown.

The Crown CTs2000 amp is 1,000 WPC into 8/4/2 ohms x 2CH. You can get it b-stock for about $1K.

The Crown XLS 2500 is 440W x 2CH into 8 ohms and it is about $500 new.

They don't look as good, though. :D
