Forget the graphs. Does the soundtrack sound good to your ears? :D

I guess? Why bother cutting the low end off of a soundtrack? Serves no purpose.

My only guess is maybe the studios don't want to kill people's sub-standard subs (I doubt that), although I really didn't feel there was a lack of bass in this one. As mentioned in that thread, while they may filter out the lowest of the lows, there's plenty of sound in the range where most systems are fully capable. I saw they mentioned a lack of bass in Pacific Rim also, which I again, did not find myself either. IMO, they're over analyzing this aspect when these are just popcorn flicks that should be enjoyed.

I bought it and watched it on tuesday and I think it was very good. Bass was really good. Shook my house a couple of times.

I watched it last night and I'm so happy I bought it. It was awesome flick with a stellar sound track, good and effective use of surrounds, great bass and an awesome effects. The bass may have been filtered so that 20 Hz material wasn't present but the bass that was there was strong and effectively used. That being said, I swore there was 20 Hz material at the beginning of teh flick when they dropped the bomb during the 50's experiments. If the bass was unfilitered, it may have rendered an added dimesnions to the monsters but as is, it was still very very good.

Received in my mailbox the other day and watched it last night...:).

If people are complaining about this one because of lack of content below certain thresholds are simply nuts. This flick had my entire room rattling and shaking or pressurized for long duration at a time...it was a ton of fun. No time telling when I watch it again....alone...:D

You probably need a bigger sub. :D

I think the only handicap here is people going by the measurements. I had to turn the sub down for this one. Bass was literally insane.
