Do any of the pannys do SACD? Without the ability to do SACD, I'd say analog audio outputs are redundant since modern receivers handle all DD/DTS formats via the HDMI signal.

just got off the phone with Panasonic and none of their current Blu-ray players support SACD, so it looks like Sony is the winner, especially at that price.

I have both HDMI & analog connections from my 105 going to my Yamaha AVR. I prefer the analog for music.

How will I insure that the audio goes through the analog connections when I insert a CD, or play a FLAC file?

just make sure that you connect the analog connectors to an unused input that doesn't conflict with the HDMI assignment.
