I need to replace 3 of 4 X4214B00 woofers in my Yamaha NS-777s. I blew them when tweaking my Adcom GFA-5500 while they were hooked up.
When you asked if kaos knew how to recone a speaker, were you suggesting he could repair his existing woofers instead of tracking down new replacements online? If so, can you please tell me more about how to recone, or point me to a good resource online?

Well with a bit of skill you can recone speakers. Your speakers look as if this could be done if parts are available.
I have checked the
Orange County speaker repair site and they do not say they have parts for those speakers. For Yamaha,
Simply Speakers say to call to check for availability. They have a video to help you with the project.
I would call them and see if they have recone kits for those speakers.
If not, see if Yamaha will agree to sell you replacement woofers. Don't be surprised if they won't, or they cost more than new speakers.
The real issue is that those speakers are very cheap, $250/pair from Yamaha. Amazon price is $170/pair. Usually recone kits cost $70 to $85 for each speaker.
So it will certainly not be cost effective to have someone else do the work. If you want to save a bit of money you will have to do the recone yourself. It will be educational.
However don't be surprised if your cheapest option is to buy completely new speakers. That tends to be the way of the modern world.
If I were to do the work for you for instance, the cost would be in the $150 per pair range with parts extra. So you see where this accident is headed.
