I don't normally recommend books to people because the books I usually read do not have wide appeal, but I finished a book a few days ago that I think would entertain maybe a few of the guys here. It's called The Descent. It is about humanity finding out about a vast cave system deep in the Earth's crust, and the quasi-demonic inhabitants therein, and their clash. It is not related to the movie of the same name, except the subject matter is similar. I don't want to say too much, because the book is best read with its surprises intact. I will say it's like a Micheal Crichton book, but with a darker streak than anything Crichton has done, and it is essentially a horror book but with heavy doses of science and adventure. Anyway, I found it to be an easy and engaging read. I am always looking for horror books that don't use conventional tropes like the usual ghosts, zombies, serial killers, vampires, etc, and The Descent footed that bill nicely. I think it's a book a lot of people can enjoy, even those who don't normally go for horror.

Thanks. I might give that one a try. Finishing Stephen Hunter's latest now, "Sniper's Honor". I know there are a number of gun guys here. If you're not familiar w/ Hunter, especially his Bob Lee Swagger books, I recommend him. He's a gun guy, and kinda like Tom Clancy in that his stories are fiction, but he does exhaustive research to insure his settings, characters and especially gun references are accurate.

You know, the real horror story's going to be if scientists prove that we're actually living in a two dimensional universe and everything is just a hologram

I read that book years ago. It's good. Very, very good.

He also has another good one, Year Zero, which alludes to their maybe finding hints of the historical Jesus. It's also a good read.

For some people, having two dimensions would be an upgrade in personality by the addition of an extra dimension. But seriously though, whether the universe is composed of two dimensions or eleven (per string theory), it makes no difference to how your life is lived (or should be lived). Btw, an excellent book about the subject of a holographic universe is The Black Hole War by Leonard Susskind. I read a lot of science books for layman, and that really is one of the better ones you can pick up.

I just finished reading Deeper, the sequel to The Descent, and I liked it. It don't think it's quite as good as The Descent but worth reading if you enjoyed the first one.

You surprised me with your book review. She has a really unique storyline. I have never seen this before. Unfortunately I don't have much time to do it right now. But I think I will use apa paper writing service for college, use https://paperell.net/apa-style-papers for that. I always liked such topics about demons, about all kinds of evil spirits. True, I can only read about it, if I watch a movie, then I won’t be able to sleep. This has been verified a thousand times by me. As soon as I read it, I will also let you know and write a review about it here.
Really intrigued
