New setup, could you help me out?

Hello, I am Paul, and I decided to buy some new turntable->amp->speakers system, because until now I was using my old Tesla NZC420 with shitty 5.1 setup for 100$ (yeah ). I am really a newbie into all this audio stuff so I thought maybe someone would help me out or give me some advices about this all and to give me greenlight with components I chose.

I mostly listen to house/minimal and i need turntable purely for listening, not DJing. I was thinking about Pro-ject Debut carbon DC with price (in my country) 450$(without pre-amp) but more appealing to me is Pro-Ject Essential II for about 330$ (without pre-amp) which isnt just 120$ cheaper but big advantage is, you dont need to take off the plate to swtich from 33 to 45 RPM mode (some of my vinyls are 45, and it would be annoying to always take off the plate, adjust the rubber band, put it back and do the same thing again after I fiinish that vinyl). I am not sure how big difference is between theese two but Essential II might be good as a starter?

As for speakers, I read a few reviews and I quite like Monitor Audio BX2, which has very nice design and its also available in my country (yeah lots of stuff isnt available here so sometimes its hard to find some things) for about 400$ per pair.

When I was searching for amplifier I came up to Pioneer A-30 (is there some difference between A-30 and A30K? )Its for about 340$. It has also built phono input so I guess I wouldnt need pre-amp built in turntable? Theese 2 turntables I mentioned earlier would cost about 120$ more with pre-amp built in.

So what do you think? would this setup work together? Thanks!

the TT where you don't haveto disassemble it to change speeds makes a lot of sense if you routinely switch between 33 and 45.

As for the extra $120 for a built in phono preamp, assuming it's of a decent quality, then having it qould opwn up your choices of amplifiation significantly. Of course, so would buying a separate phono stage so that's a toss-up.

As for speakers, well, that's a little more tricky. It's difficult to judge a speaker by reading about what others think about them. Like women, they are a presonal thing and everyones idea of prefection, or even satisfying or non-irritating, over the long term is different. They are all great at first but after a little time, their flaws start to come to the surface.

yeah but it has also usb output and i feel that 120$ was spent on that output option aswell. so idk... maybe separated phono would be better option

Actually, I don't think too many of us are familiar with what's available where you are. What other options are available to you?

The Debut Carbon can also be used with the Pro-Ject Speedbox. The Speedbox is an upgraded powersupply, and it allows for push-button speed changes. I think it's around $150 for that item.

@markw : well depends on each item...some of em are and some of em arent available.....I found Marantz PM5004 which seems to be also nice...do you have idea which one should be better? PM5004 or Pioneer A30?
@slipperybidness : hmm that would be a bit too much money for such a thing, I think the Essential 2 should be fine basically as a starter item
