M markw Audioholic Overlord Jul 25, 2014 #3 Never heard of 'em but they look interesting. However, they imply built in amplification which is BS. I've found some gems there. I was able to buy these for $22 there a few years ago when had them for $24. Figures that Amazon has them cheaper now that I've got all I need. Last edited: Jul 25, 2014

S shadyJ Speaker of the House Staff member Jul 25, 2014 #4 I would stay away from them. Why spend money on those when there are proven good speakers for the same price. My hunch is they are awful. I would also never buy anything from wal-mart, on principle.

psbfan9 Audioholic Samurai Jul 25, 2014 #5 Um, I think you would be better off with Fluance, or the Andrew Jones Pioneers. http://fluance.com/ Last edited: Jul 25, 2014
Ponzio Audioholic Samurai Jul 25, 2014 #6 this thread will have a million views before the week is over. my eyes/brain imploded. thank you.
afterlife2 Audioholic Warlord Jul 26, 2014 #7 These are well liked, but smaller version. Price is for each speaker: http://www.parts-express.com/pure-acoustics-supernova-5-f-mini-tower-speaker-black--303-502 My advice is go listen to them at Best Buy/Walmart and the Fluence if there is a store display of them and make a choice. I also would recommend the Pioneers Andrew Jones 22's or 52's. Two re-views at PE: http://www.parts-express.com/pure-acoustics-supernova-8-f-tower-speaker-black--303-500 Last edited: Jul 26, 2014

zieglj01 Audioholic Spartan Jul 26, 2014 #10 Well, the interesting thing is that the OP bought some Martin Logan LX16 bookshelf speakers. He wants to move them to surrounds - and he seems to be looking at lesser quality speakers for the front channels - I would save up and get some more decent/nice quality speakers.

Z, I agree, bigger M/L perhaps, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Sounds like the money is burning a hole in his pocket.

I don't think it only applies to edible products. Perhaps the out-gassing may be harmful? Fume emitting products? The gases form particle boards glue, I would think.
