What really gets me is that the atomic clock isn't even the master clock, but a reference clock.

And, the whole jitter "problem" was most likely dreamed up by the marketing department anyway.

Have you ever heard poor sound quality that you could attribute to jitter?

I've asked some of my electronics professors about this type of thing, the response is that synchronous clocks offer many advantages over asych.

I bet the people who can discern the sonic improvement from cable burn in have ears/electronics/speakers good enough to hear it ;).

This this quote doesn't drip with sarcasm, I don't what does:

The sound of this three-some was marvelous, with some of the best detail clarity I have ever heard. Music from the 1960’s produced new detail that I never knew was there, either in the original analog LPs, or the CD versions. And this is the first time I have ever been able to actually hear the difference between 24/96 and 24/192.
