Probably in your time zone, yes. :p

Wish that I got an educational discount, but congrats on getting yours!
Well, technically I never stopped ;) I was in high school, then college, then grad school, then worked at a school, and now work at another school :D Hey, if anybody ever wants to use it I happen to love to order things.

Darn, you're probably right. I need to make more friends in CA so I have someone to talk to when I'm not sleeping. Although possibly learning my "native" tongue would help as well.

I'm on California time.

Oh, I see how it is. :(

:D
Haha, well I suppose you'll have to do :p

Since you're around and pretty much live on Amazon I feel I should ask you about an external HD case thingy. I need to get the information off my old drive, can't find the power cord to my external HD which time machine is on, and the NAS is dead (I think) so I'm circling back to the HD in the computer. I was looking at one of these. Thoughts?

Are you looking to get data off of a 2.5" or 3.5" drive? If it's a 2.5" drive, then a simple USB-to-SATA adapter should work. If it's a 3.5" drive, you likely need something like that with a power input.

I honestly don't remember what size the drive is that goes in the 17". I was thinking of getting of the the above in case I want to get extra drives for the Pegasus thing. Plus it would be easy to just buy raw drives and swap them in and out to put movies and other random stuff on. Does that sound like something a semi-reasonable person would do, or have I crossed into crazy land?

Re- configured my garage storage picture over the past two days.
Wish I had a garage. Oddly enough, here, if you get a garage unit they specifically tell you that it is not to be used for storage and that it must always be able to house a car.

Well, still awake.
Awake again ... but not for long ... hopefully. Sh!t Dude ... I have a ton of laundry to fold. All my work clothes ... all nice and wrinkly. The furniture stuff and the truck stuff have been eating up serious time. Yesterday a ground bolt was removed using a Craftsman bolt extractor. The wires held by that bolt were a show stopper for the removal of the compressor. Now I can proceed. Can't wait but the girl says we gotta do something together today. Maybe she meant that she wants to help me work on it.

I removed a couple of compressors at the junk yard yesterday in order to get the bolt that holds the a/c lines on the back of the compressor. It took forever and was exhausting in the heat and I was filthy. Tough going on this truck due to all the rust and neglect from the previous owner.

Coffeeeeee is kicking in.

The laptop will have a 2.5" drive. Those can be powered by USB. The 3.5" drives normally (or maybe always) can't be.

My brother has a dock like that, and I've thought about getting one. You make the call if that crosses over into crazy land. :D I didn't end up getting one because I got a Thunderbolt dock that works for that same purpose.

Funny, I just (the other day) ordered one of: Amazon.com: StarTech.com USB 3.0 To SATA/IDE Hard Drive Adapter Converter (USB3SSATAIDE): Computers & Accessories
Won't be here until Thursday so I can't offer much more.

For the past two days, Amazon has been adjusting votes on reviews. Not sure what it's all about, but I know it's happening to a lot of folks. They deleted about 20 of my votes...no biggie. I'm just sort of curious what it's all about.
