I'm sure some know about it, and if always heared this was firmware issue so i decided to record it on video just to confirm if it is or if its broken receiver.

It may not be as loud as hear on video, but i hear this from 9 feet away from only rear right speaker, swaping speakers does't move the issue either its from the receiver.

All my other speakers i only hear it if i put my ear right next on speaker, my rear right though i can hear from 9 feet away.

Is this the same firmware issue related hishing or receiver faulty ?

If i turn of dynamic EQ i still hear it, if i unplug receiver for few hours then plug back in i still hear it.

I can hear it even if their not much sound comming out, sometimes even if its loud.

The volume of the hishing seems to be random, sometimes is very noticeable sometimes its not, and sometimes its nearly gone.

Problem with the receiver most likely. It would surprise me if it had anything to do with firmware also. Have you run a different cable to the speaker from that output to eliminate the cable or cable routing as an issue?

Pretty sure its not the speaker cable, if had it even at old place also from rear right, i send onkyo a follow up mail on it asking if its indeed receiver or firmware, defiantly want this fixed.

That is a major circuit failure and not a firmware issue. It needs service or replacement. Speakers and wires are passive and can not create an issue like that.

I didn't listen to the audio earlier because I was at work. That's definitely a problem with the receiver.

Speakers don't produce any sound on their own. They only reproduce what's sent to it from before them in the signal chain. Likewise, cables don't generate sound. They can only degrade sound, not add to or create it.

Your amp s ad libbing here.

The wire itself might not be the issue, but if the wire can pick up noise from being run with power wires, so it was a thought. This does not sound like that though.

Just got mail, to fill in serial and all to get this thing investigated and fixed.
Hopefully i get it back fully fixed, had to go german site though and i don't know german so i used google translate.

When i put in serial it say's it had to be send for checkup, hope they can fix without forcing me to step up another receiver forcing me to pay extra, because i'm on very tight budget right now this month.

And its really odd this hissing vanishes sometimes for a day for no reason at all, watched a few movies while ago did't hear a thing, i think its 1 bulged cap somewhere that is performing random probably.
