$2700 for a CD player, I wonder how it will compare to the OPPO 105 for sound, looks like the CD-S2100 is using the Sabre ES9016 Chip while the OPPO is using the ES9018.

I guess some manufacturers want to keep CD alive.

The A-S2100 is a nice looking integrated.

Those products have been available in Japan since Fall, 2013 and now Yamaha is introducing to the North America and Europe markets.
Note that there are many separate components in this series.. But whether or not each one will be imported into the respective market is up to their local Yamaha distribution system..
