Dorm Room Setup Advice

Hello everybody, I'm new here so if this is in the wrong place I apologize. I'm looking to get a setup for my college dorm (and apartment after this coming school year). I'm open to suggestions, and if you want more information I'll post it. Thanks for your time!

My apologies, I forgot to put that in. Budget is $400, and due to budget and space stereo setup for now.

Thanks for the reply. The first one looks similar to one I was looking at earlier, only cheaper.

No problem. I think the second choice is your best bet and when you're ready you can have a nice 5.1 setup for games and movies. Looks like the last one too. I'd jump on it if I were you.

I would go with the 5.1 option Yamaha - you can play stereo with it - and as stated,
you have the 5.1 option for later. What speakers are you gong with?

I'm thinking the Pioneers recommended a couple posts back. And in the previous post I meant the second one.

What's the general consensus on the quality/durability of refurbished items? Just wondering because I know that can save a lot of money

Thanks for the link to that thread. No qualms about it now :D just gotta get that job later today, wait a couple months, and I can start getting my setup together
