A/V Receiver for approx $500

I'm looking for an A/V receiver around the $500 mark, I've been looking at the following receivers and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions:

- Onkyo TX-NR535
- Yamaha RX-V477
- Pioneer VSX-1024
- Pioneer VSX-44

Denon X1000 for $450 (has Audyssey XT + Sub EQ + DEQ):

Call Electronics Expo and ask if they can sell you the Denon X2000 (normally $650) for $500 delivered.

Agree with the Denons, then Yamaha. I'd pass on Onkyo currently as they've had fairly significant quality issues for a few generations now.

I personally like Denon in this price range with Yamaha a very close second.
